Welcome, from the HSA

Greetings Tiger Families,

It is my pleasure to welcome new and returning families to the 2019-2020 school year at School Without Walls at Francis-Stevens. I hope your summer has been memorable and refreshing. The faculty, staff and HSA Board have been working collaboratively to prepare for an exciting school year.

SWWFS is unique to this city because it serves families across all eight wards in the District of Columbia. As your HSA President, it is my goal to collectively engage our school and communities in various activities throughout the city. At School Without Walls at Francis -Stevens, we pride ourselves on our diversity, because in diversity, there is unity.

The Home School Association (HSA) is a group of parents, faculty and community members who promote and support SWWFS through fundraising, programming, and partnerships. The HSA needs YOU! Together, our families AND faculty make this school a success. You are vital in making sure the needs of the school community are met.

I encourage you to stay connected to HSA through our website https://www.swwfs.org. You may also address the HSA Executive Board through our group email: hsa@swwfs.org.

The HSA at School Without Walls at Francis-Stevens is looking forward to your involvement this year.

Yours truly,
Carmen Jenkins Frazier

Become an HSA Member

Donate to your HSA and/or become an HSA Member

Please join the School Without Walls at Francis Stevens Home School Association. This is one of the easiest ways to support SWWFS and to add value to what goes on in our classrooms! Your membership dues support extra curricular activities, classroom materials, field trips, graduation activities and access to neighborhood institutions like the Kennedy Center. These dues directly support your student’s classroom! A portion of your membership dues are allocated to your student’s grade level and made available to home room teacher(s) at that grade level.

Our HSA community needs your support in any way you can give; please donate whatever amount your family can contribute. Pay all at once or over time. Your family's donation qualifies you (and your family) for HSA membership which then entitles you to voting rights at HSA general meetings.
